INTRODUCTION
- Life appeared for the very first time in the seas, many millions of years ago.
- Animal groups: Mammals, reptiles, insects, fishes, crustaceans, arthropoda
- The seas occupy three-quarters of the planet., and produce only one-third of the total plant mass.
- Areas supporting life and nutrients.

MARINE ZONES
- The pelagic Zone. The bentonic Zone.
- The Phitoplancton

THE BENTONIC ZONE
- Extension of the Bentonic Zone.
